It’s ‘World Oceans Day’ and best-selling author Rochelle Strauss is making a splash.

After more years than I’d care to admit, I finally got to meet THE Rosemary Woods – the wonderful illustrator of One Well: The Story of Water on Earth.

It was early spring 2019 when the idea for a new book flashed before my eyes. It wasn’t so much as a flash…and it wasn’t so much of an idea.

Today is World Water Day…and this year’s theme is “What does water mean to you?”. That’s a pretty big question and a great one to get us thinking about water.

There are many ways to approach non-fiction writing. For me, I use a narrative, storytelling approach which I like to anchor in a metaphor.
